INEX will be renumbering its LAN1 peering network in November 2016. This project will kick off at 09:00 UTC November 10, 2016 and will end at 23:59 UTC on November 14, 2016.
During the transition period, INEX members will need to renumber both their interfaces and all BGP sessions to other routers at the exchange. At the end of the transition period, the old IP address range will be retired and it will no longer be possible to run peering sessions using these addresses.
INEX will contact all members individually in advance to ensure that they are aware of this project and its impact on connectivity.
During the conversion period, INEX engineering staff will be available for assistance between 09:00 – 21:00 UTC using normal support procedures.
In order to help people renumber, INEX will provide basic configuration conversion scripts to handle simple configuration changes on commonly used routers.
