INEX Board of Directors

INEX assumes the Board member has obtained necessary authorisation from their employer to participate fully in the Board. The Board member’s participation is as an individual and not as a representative of their employer (as per the MOU and Articles of Association).

All INEX Board members are company directors of INEX under Irish company law.

Annemette Broch – Chairperson

My name is Annemette Broch, and I am the Risk and Compliance Manager for Westnet, AS39093. I have a MSc(Econ)/ MBA in Finance and International Business, and I spent much of my career working for GE Information Services/GXS in the USA and the UK. During the last four years in the UK I served as a director in four GXS UK entities.

I am unaware of any actual or perceived conflicts of interest on my part.

Michele Neylon

I am Managing Director and co-founder of Blacknight (AS39122). We have been members of INEX since 2006. I have been heavily involved in Internet policy and governance both in Ireland and internationally for the past 15 odd years. I previously served as Chair of The Internet Infrastructure Coalition (https://i2coalition.com/ ) , as well as Chair of the Registrar Stakeholder Group (https://rrsg.org/ ) within ICANN where I represented the interest of registrars globally. I also represented registrars for two terms on ICANN’s GNSO Council. I currently sit on the Registrar Advisory Board for the .ie ccTLD, the Stakeholder Council for .us, as well as being Chair of the Registrar Advisory Board to .eu

Blacknight is part of the Avalon Internet Holdings Ltd (https://avalon.holdings/ ) group of which I am a 50% shareholder. I am currently a director of four other Irish companies Blacknight Internet Solutions Ltd, Whois Privacy Ltd, Myhost Internet Services Ltd and Avalon Internet Holdings Ltd.

Blacknight is a supplier and/or customer of INEX, a number of INEX members, suppliers and contractors. These relationships are on standard commercial terms.

Brian Nisbet – Vice-Chairperson

I am an employee of HEAnet CLG, Ireland’s National Education and Research Network. HEAnet, which is an INEX member, provides internet connectivity and associated ICT shared services across all levels of the Irish education system. I represent HEAnet on the .ie Policy Advisory Committee. I am also vice chair of the board and a registered director of Hotline.ie, the Irish national centre for combatting illegal content online.

Tom Strickx

I am Edge Network Technical Lead at Cloudflare, which has been a member of INEX since 2015. I am an active participant in the networking community, primarily in the technical domain, but also on policy.

You may have seen me speak previously at an INEX member meeting, or at RIPE.

Alex French

I am the Head of Product and Customer Analytics at SIRO, associate member of INEX since 2021.

David Curtin

I am the CEO at .IE, the Irish Domain Registry, which has been a member of INEX since 2006.

I am unaware of any actual or perceived conflicts of interest on my part.

Brian Chamberlain

I am Technical Director at IP Telecom, a member of INEX since 2010.
