Just to add to this - Vagrant is used purely as a development 
environment and certainly not recommended for production use.

We typically develop IXP Manager on MacOS running PHP via Homebrew or, 
more commonly now, https://herd.laravel.com. Vagrant is used when we 
need to model complex environments when developing IXP Manager, such as 
BGP daemons, SNMP daemons, looking glasses, etc.
