mmm, this has needed a bit of love for some while.

I've just pushed an update to check-perl-dependencies.pl.  Can you pull 
it and see if it does the trick?  It should work fine for FreeBSD 11/12, 
Debian9/10 and Ubuntu 18.04/20.04.  CentOS is, as usual, causing headaches.
