As Nick already mentioned, at INEX we run different services on a number
of different machines:

Web server:

   - just IXP Manager for external access @ https://www.inex.ie/ixp/

We use different servers as follows:

  - dedicated database server for MySQL;
  - 'monitoring server' which runs mrtg for port graphs, Nagios,
Smokeping. This also has a second installation of IXP Manager for
running various CLI cron jobs;
  - dedicated sflow server for peer to peer graphs;
  - RADIUS and TACACS on a generic administrative server;
  - dedicated DNS server (ARPA service for IXP address space).

A lot of the documentation listed under http://git.io/Os7JSA mentions
the possibility of different servers.

IXP Manager is also used to configure dedicated services on their own
iron such as route servers, route collector, AS112 and so forth.
