Hi,
finally got to sufficiently look into this.

that was correct *and* the problem.
The sFlow server needs to get the MACs now-and-then, as defined
(see https://docs.ixpmanager.org/latest/features/sflow-p2p/) in
/usr/local/etc/ixpmanager.conf
So I had to add the 'admin' to the url:
#apibaseurl = https://ixpmanager.ix.ne.tz/api/v4
apibaseurl = https://ixpmanager.ix.ne.tz/admin/api/v4
Please do that to save yourself trouble.
