Running an application in a container will not automatically update your 
database schema, so at least for this use case they are not 
a replacement for having a vaguely competent system administrator 
available.

And really, ixpmanager upgrades are trivial and can be performed in at 
most a couple of minutes by copy and pasting the few commands: the 
developers did an excellent work in this regard.
