Thanks for the reply. Checking further this is a one-time process for now. At the end we went for the MRT export:

bird> mrt dump table master4 to "/tmp/yyyy-mm-ddd-ixp_name.mrt"

multi-hop peering session should be pretty easy to set up using ixp manager skins.  Or MRT using crontab + rsync. We haven't implemented any of this yet, but in principle either of these options should be straightforward.
