The looking glass will (or should) work fine with Bird 1.6 but with 
limited features.

If you want RPKI validation, you need to upgrade to Bird2. Details at:

https://docs.ixpmanager.org/features/rpki/

Generally, IXP Manager will be concentrating on Bird2 going forward so 
you should plan to move to Bird2 at some point.
