[ixpmanager] Install issue with fresh4.8

Hello,

Installing fresh 4.8 on Ubuntu 16.04 LTS.
Get thru the script and basically up but:
1) no install.log being created
2) vargant doesn't seem to be installed  - not running on port 8080
3) which is probably why i am not getting updated mrtg graphs.

any suggestions?
