That's unlikely - I suspect there is more than one error thrown.

Can you:

1) make sure IXP Manager is properly installed including the bower step?

http://docs.ixpmanager.org/install/manually/#install-composer-and-bower

done , it's installed correctly

Do I need to uninstall /reconfigure "bower" ?

Thanks

Welcome to the list :-)
Thank you !

So we had a similar issue when adding some obscure juniper switches,
but it ended up adding the switches correctly even though it said it
had troubles.

But I think a bit more information is needed. Eg switch type, and are
there any usefull errors in the log file? (assuming its a standard
setup, look in /srv/ixpmanager/storage/logs)

Kind regards
