[ixpmanager] Changing IP address for an existing switch in the database

I've looked some more:

root at manager-grp1:/usr/local/ixp/bin# ./ixptool.php -a switch-cli.snmp-poll
-p switch=sw2-grp1.ixp.nsrc.org
ERR: No switch found with name sw2-grp1.ixp.nsrc.org

and yet a dig for this name works.

Is there a way to see what IXP Manager is doing looking up the DNS
