I'll need the output of:

snmpget -c $community -On -v 2c $hostname .1.3.6.1.2.1.1.1.0

Also, if you want to record the serial number, then the OID and a sample 
response for that also. E.g. on a fesx it's:

snmpget -c $community -On -v 2c $hostname .1.3.6.1.4.1.1991.1.1.1.1.2.0
