This means that it's correctly mapping a list of mac addresses to an index,
which is correct except that the index numbers should actually be interface
names instead of "6", "11", "3", etc.

Could you post the output of the following commands:

% snmpwalk -v2c -c community [switchname] .1.3.6.1.2.1.31.1.1.1.1
% snmpwalk -v2c -c community [switchname] .1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.2
