Hello everyone,

 

My name is Patricia Soria and I work alongside Nick, Barry and the rest of the team at INEX, where all of us and our members take enormous pride in the role that IXP Manager plays in the global IXP community, and in the trust you have placed in us as its open-source steward.

 

We know that in building your IXP to serve your local community, you will have faced unique challenges and found interesting and novel solutions along the way. We would like to capture these stories as part of building our understanding of the global IXP Manager family. At its core, IXP Manager creates opportunities for local network communities to build organic interconnection points, and your experience may inspire another community like yours to develop and thrive.

We’d love to hear the funny stories, memorable moments, and the people who shaped your journey — including the small things that may have helped you change direction or take a new opportunity. As part of INEX’s upcoming 30th anniversary, selected stories will be featured in our planned IXP Manager Community Spotlight across the IXP Manager and INEX websites and social media channels, helping showcase your work to the wider global internet community.

In addition, a standout submission may receive sponsored travel to Ireland to share their experiences during the 30th anniversary celebrations on 17 September 2026 in Dublin.

 

Your story will help demonstrate how open, community-driven infrastructure is supporting IXPs worldwide to keep traffic local, reduce costs, improve resilience, and grow local expertise.
